**Lactation consultations include weight check for milk intake, oral assessment, physical evaluation, observation of a feed, consent and breastfeeding questionnaire forms, personal care plan with appropriate specific resources, guidelines and recommendations.
What is a Home Visit Like?

Gift Certificates are available. Contact us. Many mothers wish they had met with an experienced IBCLC before the arrival of their baby. There's no better gift than that of empowerment, confidence and preparedness.
First Food for Baby will provide a super bill, the necessary form, to seek reimbursement from insurance companies not listed/covered upon request.
The Affordable Care Act of 2012 requires coverage of lactation consultants as ‘Women’s Preventive Service’
Please be aware of possible additional expenses:
If a consultation must be cancelled with less than 24 hour notice, to be fair to other families, a $50 fee will still be collected.
Travel charges are not eligible for insurance reimbursement and will be collected for trips greater than 30 minutes.
Travel fee is $50.
